Building businesses has always been a huge passion of mine. I was lucky enough in 2014 to be part of the inception of a start-up freight forwarder that has grown to be a leader in the UK and grew to £40m turnover and 150 staff. I subsequentially moved up the ranks and joined their senior leadership team and built both internal and external commercial teams to meet the ambitious growth plans we had set out.

Driving internal and external strategy, developing people and building solutions became a passion of mine. Helping everyone win and be successful both for my employer, their suppliers and their clients showed me through structured goals and collaboration with the right people, great things can happen.

Logistics and supply chains remain incredibly fragmented and as we accelerate through the digital age, those with the best processes, partnerships, data management and focussed strategies will be the true winners over the next decade.
